When I try to cancel with them, they say "There's nothing they can do about it, and if I do cancel I still have to make the payment until I finish it." I seen on another website that, If I cancel with them, they would refund some of the money back. False advertisement.

The student service was no help, they didn't even seem like they want to help. Now we got to use to tablet to read and send assignment, we got to pay an extra 30 dollars just for a textbook. Not even worth the money.

They don't care about nobody education, they just want the money for themselves. Selfish.

Monetary Loss: $1065.

Location: San Francisco, California

I haven't had any issues with this institute so far. The information is right at your fingertips and they have been helpful in emailing and responding.

I read that you are to complete the program and if you aren't satisfied they will refund your money. Like most schools you can't get all of your money back once you are in the class.

For example, once I am in class for a day I can only get so much money back. I am sorry you had such a bad experience, but that is normally how education and certifications work.

I've also had good experiences with USCI as my sister and I both attended the Medical Specialities program and loved it. Great curriculum and instructors.

Thank you for giving U.S. Career Institute the chance to respond to your concerns.

First and foremost, U.S. Career Institute is nationally accredited by the Distance Education and Training Council as well as the Better Business Bureau, with an A+ rating.

Our students sign an Enrollment Agreement prior to beginning their studies that clearly outlines our payment policies. From the information provided above, it seems likely that you completed a majority of your course.

According to our payment policies, this would make one financially responsible for the lessons completed and possibly the full tuition amount.

U.S. Career Institute offers our students a 5-day Risk-Free Preview with our Money-Back Commitment. After receiving course materials, our students can take up to 5 full days to look over and review the materials.

Students can cancel their enrollment at any time within those first 5 days and we’ll refund their first payment in full.

We began the transition to electronic lesson books in late 2013 in response to student feedback, as well as in an effort to become more environmentally friendly. Students enrolled in most courses receive electronic access to the majority of their coursework. We’ve found that overall our students prefer having access to their course materials electronically, as it makes them easily portable and more convenient.

If students prefer hard copies of their materials, they are available for order.

We would welcome the opportunity to discuss your individual situation and review your options with you.

You can contact us at 1-80*-***-****, Monday-Friday from 7am to 6pm (MST).

Thank you, U.S. Career Institute

Hi I tried to cancel within my first five days as I couldn’t afford it - I haven’t recieved anything from you to do with the course yet you have just taken 5 payments out of my bank these past 5 days as I signed up in October I think and haven’t been able to pay because I was told I couldn’t cancel

I had a good experience with USCI. I learned it depends when you cancel too.

If you've already taken a portion of the classes, they're entitled to keep their money. It's just like any school or university in that if you've benefitted from the program or service, you have to pay for it even if you've not graduated.
